N.D. Air National Guard Unit Named Nation’s Top Squadron
BISMARCK, N.D. – Governor Jack Dalrymple today issued the following congratulatory statement to recognize the excellence of the North Dakota Air National Guard’s 219th Security Forces Squadron, which has been awarded the 2010 Air National Guard Security Forces Squadron of the Year:
“The 219th Squadron has been recognized as the top unit because their service is marked by excellence on a daily basis,” Dalrymple said. “They are true professionals who serve the 91st Missile Wing, our state and our nation with great distinction.”
The 219th Security Forces Squadron, based at the Minot Air Force Base, took top honors out of 86 squadrons throughout the United States. The unit’s performance was evaluated based on a number of factors, including supply, commander’s support staff, medical, education and training, and recruiting and retention.
The 219th Squadron is the second-largest Security Forces Squadron in the Air National Guard.
