Hoeven Appoints Citizens To State Boards

BISMARCK, N.D. - Governor Hoeven recently appointed several citizens to serve on state boards:

Jim Laducer of Mandan and Bob McNeill of Dickinson have been reappointed to three-year terms on the North Dakota Development Fund. Laducer owns Laducer and Associates and McNeill is the owner/president of RemCo Software. The Board advances economic development in North Dakota and operates like a private corporation.

Mike Kraft of Williston has been appointed to a five-year term on the Milk Marketing Board. Kraft owns Economart and Country Floral and Gifts. Victor Mathern of Edgeley has been reappointed to the Board. Mathern owns a dairy farm and will serve a five-year term. The Board sets the price of milk on the hundred-weight from the producer, wholesale price, and the retail price at quarterly minimums.

Judy Millar of West Fargo has been reappointed to a five-year term on the Credit Union Board. Millar is employed by Moore Engineering, Inc. The board manages and controls credit unions, and assesses civil penalties and holds hearing processes.

James Wang of Minnewauken has been reappointed to a three-year term on the Gaming Commission. Wang is an attorney at Wang Law Office. The board rewrites the gaming rules and regulations.

Pam Cronin of Larimore, Neil Nordquist of Minot and Kathy Kiedrowski and Dean Koppelman of Dickinson have been appointed to three-year terms on the Education Standards and Practices Board. Cronin is the Principal at Larimore High School; Nordquist is the Department Chair of Teacher Education and Human Performance at Minot State University; Kiedrowski teaches at Trinity High School; Koppelman is the Superintendent of Dickinson Public Schools. Dan Vainonen of Jamestown has been reappointed to the Board. Vainonen is a public school teacher and will serve a three-year term. The Board reviews educator requests for licensure and teaching endorsements, oversees state staff development programs and determines approval of teacher education programs for North Dakota’s colleges and universities, and monitors the teaching profession.
