Hoeven Appoints Citizens To State Boards
BISMARCK, N.D. - Governor Hoeven recently appointed several citizens to serve on state boards:
Jennifer Thoreson of Fargo, Eva Inches of Minot and Joe Fry of Dickinson have been appointed to three-year terms on the Board of Social Work Examiners. Thoreson is a licensed social worker at Cass County Social Services; Inches is a daycare provider; Fry is the director of Badlands Human Services. The board licenses social workers in the state and handles complaints.
Jonna Hochhalter of Wishek has been appointed to a three-year term on the Judicial Conduct Commission. Hochhalter is the former mayor of Wishek. The Commission investigates complaints against any judge in the state and conducts hearings concerning the discipline, removal or retirement of any judge.
Lon Drevecky of Minot has been reappointed to a four-year term on the Plumbing Board. Drevecky is a mechanical engineer at Prairie Engineering, P.C. The Board licenses plumbers and handles disciplinary actions.
Jill Martinson of Minot has been reappointed to a five-year term on the Board of Optometry. Martinson is an optometrist at Trinity Regional Eyecare. The board licenses optometrists in the state and handles consumer complaints and disciplinary actions.
Deborah Ness has been reappointed to a four-year term on the Private Investigative and Security Board. Ness is the Chief of Police for the Bismarck Police Department. The board licenses and governs the private investigative field and handles complaints.
Sandy Hyland of Bismarck has been reappointed to a three-year term on the Medical Center Advisory Council. Hyland is a homemaker and retired physical therapist. The Council studies, considers and formulates plans for facilitating and implementing health improvement and maintenance of programs.
