Citizens Step Up For State Service

BISMARCK, N.D. - Governor Hoeven recently appointed several citizens to serve on state boards:

Raymond Weisgarber of Fargo, Randal Albrecht of Underwood and Lyle Brudvig of Dickinson have been reappointed to three-year terms on the Board of Examiners for Nursing Home Administrators. Weisgarber is the administrator at Bethany Homes; Albrecht is the administrator of Prairieview Nursing Home; Brudvig is the administrator of St. Lukes Home. The board licenses nursing home administrators, investigates complaints and adopts federal requirements regarding administrative standards.

Glenn Ohma of Edinburg has been reappointed to a three-year term on the Board of Reflexology. Ohma is employed by Marvin Windows. The Board licenses reflexologies in the state.

Mary Grosz has been appointed to a three-year term on the Air Pollution Control Advisory Board. Grosz is a retired teacher. The Council conducts hearings on the adoption, amendment or repeal of rules and acts as an advisory group to the Health Department on matters involving air pollution.

James Jorgenson, PhD, of Fargo has been reappointed to a five-year term on the State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors. Jorgenson is the Founder/President of Metal Building Software, Inc. The Board registers and gives exams for certifying engineers.

Dr. Don Daughtry of Grand Forks has been reappointed to a three-year term on the Board of Counselor Examiners. Daughtry is an assistant professor of counseling psychology at the University of North Dakota. The Board licenses counselors including: mental, family therapists, school guidance, vocational, and counselors in private practice.
