Hoeven: USDA Extends Haying And Grazing
BISMARCK, N.D. - Governor John Hoeven today issued the following statement in response to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) extension of emergency haying and grazing through November 30.
“This morning I spoke with USDA Chief of Staff Dale Moore regarding the extension of emergency haying and grazing in our state. North Dakota continues to battle drought conditions in the south central area of the state. He confirmed that North Dakota farmers and ranchers will continue to have this option available through the end of November.
“This extension is critical as we continue to seek relief for our farmers and ranchers. By issuing this extension, North Dakotans are able to make additional feed and forage available to our producers in need of hay reserve and grazing land.”
