Canadian Pharmacies
The following link is to a Canadian pharmacy. Some brand name drugs are sold in Canada at prices less than they cost in the United States.
This website is designed to help provide information so that you may make an informed choice as to whether purchasing prescription drugs from Canada is right for you.
The following pharmacy is:
- Licensed by the Province of Manitoba, where it is located, and utilizes provincially licensed pharmacists in the dispensation of prescription drugs. They are not licensed in North Dakota.
- Certified by the Canadian International Pharmacy Association.
- Dispenses maintenance medications only. It does not dispense controlled substances.
- It requires either an original prescription from a United States physician or confirmation from the physician that a faxed copy is consistent with the original before it will dispense any medication to North Dakotans. Refills may be filled by telephone, mail or online.
There are certain risks inherent in ordering any product through the mail, and you should educate yourself prior to making any purchase. You should be aware that the federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA) concludes that importation of drugs from Canada is not legal, although they have a policy of not enforcing this law against individuals who import drugs for their personal use. That policy is subject to change at the discretion of the FDA.
Importing Prescription Drugs, on the FDA website, explains their policies on importation of Canadian drugs.
