Dalrymple Kicks Off Bismarck-Mandan Growth Summit

BISMARCK, N.D. - Gov. Jack Dalrymple today kicked off the first ever Bismarck-Mandan Growth Summit hosted by the Bismarck-Mandan Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with community businesses and organizations. The summit will focus on the fast-paced growth that is occurring in the Bismarck-Mandan area and will provide an opportunity for participants to discuss strategies for planning for future growth.

“We are experiencing rapid growth across the state as a result of our strong economy, positive business climate, and focus on job creation,” Dalrymple said. “Bismarck-Mandan is on the forefront of that growth with its diverse economy, vibrant business community and outstanding quality of life. This summit is a great opportunity for business leaders and public officials to continue to plan for the future and identify ways to stay ahead of the fast-paced growth.”

During his remarks, Dalrymple highlighted the state’s diverse economy, low unemployment, record job creation, increased wages and personal income, and population growth. He also focused on his plans and initiatives for addressing the state’s future growth, including significant investments in infrastructure and housing.

The two-day summit features an impressive lineup of speakers and breakout sessions that focus on topics such as real estate, infrastructure, social services and public safety. In addition to Dalrymple, other speakers will include Bismarck-Mandan Chamber President Kelvin Hullet, Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring, Bismarck Mayor John Warford, Mandan Mayor Arlyn Van Beek and Commerce Commissioner Al Anderson.
