Ressler Named Interim Chief of Information Technology Department
BISMARCK, N.D. – Gov. Jack Dalrymple today named Mike Ressler interim chief information officer (CIO) of the state’s Information Technology Department (ITD). Ressler has served as deputy chief and director of operations for the department since 1997, and was appointed as interim with the departure of Lisa Feldner. Feldner accepted the position of chief information officer for the North Dakota University System. Ressler's start date as interim CIO will be June 3, 2013.
“Mike has done an excellent job over the last 16 years serving ITD and the responsibilities it supports,” said Dalrymple. “The combination of his technical expertise and leadership abilities will enable the department to continue offering quality technology services for the state. I would also like to thank Lisa Feldner for her service to the department. She did an outstanding job overseeing the many advances the department made during her tenure.”
Ressler has worked for the Information Technology Department since 1984 and since 1997 has been responsible for overall department strategic planning, management and operations. Prior to that, he served as an accountant for Clairmont Enterprises and Eide Helmeke & Co. He is both a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Computing Professional, and a graduate of Bismarck State College and University of Mary.
