Gov. Kelly Armstrong has directed all government agencies to fly the United States and North Dakota flags at half-staff, and encourages North Dakotans to do the same at their homes and businesses, until sunset Thursday, April 23, in honor and remembrance of U.S. Rep. David Scott of Georgia. 

Gov. Kelly Armstrong presented his executive budget guidelines for next biennium, calling on some agencies to prepare hold-even budgets and others to reduce their budgets as part of a long-term strategy to bring general fund spending in line with general fund revenues by 2032. 

Gov. Kelly Armstrong signed an executive order directing state agencies to have personnel and resources ready to assist and respond as needed to the America 250 celebrations over the July 4th holiday, including the grand opening of the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library in Medora.

Gov. Kelly Armstrong announced the opening of the application period for school, community and church bands, orchestras and choirs across North Dakota to apply to serve as the Governor’s Official State Band/Orchestra Program and Choral Program for the 2026-2027 school year. 

Gov. Kelly Armstrong thanked Job Service North Dakota Executive Director Pat Bertagnolli for his leadership of the agency over the past four years after Bertagnolli announced his retirement effective June 12.
