Travel and Tourism Press Conference

Governor Kelly Armstrong will join officials from North Dakota Tourism, the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library, Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation and National Park Service at a press conference on Wednesday at 10 a.m. MT/11 a.m. CT in Medora to highlight the historic upcoming summer tourism season in North Dakota, including ND250 celebrations across the state and the July 4th grand opening of the presidential library in Medora.

Gov. Kelly Armstrong has directed all government agencies to fly the United States and North Dakota flags at half-staff on Thursday, May 14, and encourages North Dakotans to do the same at their homes and businesses, in observance of national Peace Officers Memorial Day.

State, federal and community leaders gathered in Medora to outline preparations for one of North Dakota’s most significant tourism seasons, including the July 4, 2026, opening of the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library and ND250 celebrations across the state.

Gov. Kelly Armstrong signed an executive order declaring an emergency and granting a waiver of hours of service for drivers of commercial vehicles transporting agricultural inputs including dry and liquid fertilizer, anhydrous ammonia, pesticides and seed.

Gov. Kelly Armstrong has directed all U.S. and North Dakota flags to be flown at half-staff from dawn to dusk Friday, May 1, and encourages North Dakotans to do the same at their homes and businesses, in honor and remembrance of state Rep. Liz Conmy of Fargo. 

Gov. Kelly Armstrong issued a statement regarding the passing of state Rep. Liz Conmy of Fargo. Conmy had represented District 11 in the North Dakota House of Representatives since 2022.
