BISMARCK, N.D. – Gov. Kelly Armstrong will lead a groundbreaking ceremony for the new North Dakota State Hospital in Jamestown on Monday, Aug. 18, joined by state legislators, North Dakota Health and Human Services (HHS) officials and community leaders. 

The new state-of-the-art facility will provide 141 treatment beds to serve those most in need of acute mental health services. The state has budgeted $300 million for construction. Armstrong, HHS Commissioner Pat Traynor and State Hospital Superintendent Aaron Olson will be among those delivering remarks at the groundbreaking.
