Gov. Kelly Armstrong will join officials from Talon Metals and Westmoreland Mining on Wednesday to announce a milestone in the development of the proposed Beulah Minerals Processing Facility, which will process nickel and copper minerals for batteries from raw ore. Talon announced plans for the facility in Mercer County in October 2022, supported by a nearly $115 million grant from the U.S. Department of Energy.
