Gov. Doug Burgum and First Lady Kathryn Burgum will host the sixth annual Recovery Reinvented on Thursday, Nov. 3, at the Alerus Center in Grand Forks and online at recoveryreinvented.com.

Members of the Century High School Wind Ensemble will perform at the North Dakota State Capitol at 12:30 p.m. Friday, May 20, in Memorial Hall. Lt. Gov. Brent Sanford will deliver remarks and present the ensemble with the designation as the 2022-2023 Governor’s Band.

Members of the North Dakota Turkey Federation on Monday, Nov. 15, will present Gov. Doug Burgum and Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring with a pair of live turkeys for the traditional Thanksgiving pardoning, while highlighting the important work of two local charitable organizations.

North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum will honor our nation’s military veterans with members of the state’s congressional delegation, North Dakota National Guard leaders and local officials during a Veterans Day ceremony at the North Dakota Heritage Center in Bismarck. North Dakota National Guard Brig. Gen. Jackie Huber will be the keynote speaker.

North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum will deliver his State of the State address to a special session of the 67^th Legislative Assembly at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 8, in the House chamber of the State Capitol, 600 E. Boulevard Ave., Bismarck. The address will be livestreamed on the Legislature’s website at www.legis.nd.gov.

North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum and Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring will host town hall meetings Wednesday and Thursday with farmers, ranchers and other area residents in the Washburn, Rugby and Medora areas to discuss the challenges created by extreme drought conditions, review the state’s response and answer questions. More than two-thirds of North Dakota is in extreme or exceptional drought, according to the latest U.S. Drought Monitor.

Lt. Gov. Brent Sanford will join researchers at a press conference to unveil the findings of two recently completed studies on the economic impacts of the oil and gas industry on North Dakota’s economy, government and communities.
